Just read a frustrating story about how pit bull educator Tia Torres, founder of Villalobos Rescue Center, was recently kicked off the campus of Valencia High School. Torres was doing a presentation on prejudice using her pit bulls to illustrate her points, when an assistant principal came by and commented that the dogs looked “menacing.”
Shortly thereafter, the teacher was instructed to ask Torres to take her dogs and leave.
The school, of course, is denying that breed had anything to do with the decision; they say Torres didn’t have permission to be on campus. Despite the fact that the teacher says that other dogs have visited the classroom without problems.

Always nice to have a principal demonstrate prejudice first hand….
*sigh*
